These terms cover your use of gymscost.com. They are short and written to be read, because terms nobody reads protect nobody. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, the site is free to leave and we will not mind.
“We”, “us” and “our” mean GymsCost, the operator of this site. “You” means whoever is reading it.
What this site is, and what it is not
GymsCost publishes research about the cost of gym memberships. That is the whole product. We are not a gym, a broker, a reseller, or an agent for any fitness company, and you cannot buy a membership through us.
Nothing here is financial, legal, medical, or fitness advice. Decisions about a contract you sign are yours, and the terms that bind you are the ones in that contract, not the ones summarized on this site.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
We check every published price against a primary source and record the date, as described in how we research gym prices. We still cannot warrant that any figure is current or correct for your club on the day you read it.
Gyms change rates without notice. Franchise locations set their own fees. A promotional rate can appear and vanish within a week. Treat everything here as a starting point and confirm the number with the club before you sign anything. Our disclaimer goes into this further.
Trademarks and gym names
Gym names, logos, and brand marks belong to the companies that own them. We use them to identify the business being written about, which is ordinary descriptive use. It does not imply any partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, or approval in either direction.
If you represent a brand and think a specific use crosses a line, write to hello@gymscost.com and tell us which page and which mark. We answer those.
What you may and may not do here
Read it, print it, send a link to a friend, quote a short passage with a credit and a link back. All fine, no permission needed.
What is not fine: copying our pages wholesale onto another site, scraping the site with automated tools, republishing our price tables as your own research, or using the content to train a commercial model without asking. The writing, tables, and methodology on this site are ours and stay ours.
Also do not attempt to break into the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or interfere with how it works for other people. If you have found a security problem, we would genuinely like to hear about it at the address above.
Links out, and advertising
We link to gym websites, membership agreements, and other outside sources so you can check our work. We do not control those pages and we are not responsible for what they say or what they do with your data. How we handle yours is in our privacy policy.
This site carries display advertising. Ads are chosen and served by third-party networks, not by us, and an ad appearing next to an article is not an endorsement of the advertiser by GymsCost. No gym pays for coverage here.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or from reliance on anything published here. That includes a membership that turned out to cost more than our page said.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, and the law that applies
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Nothing here removes any consumer right you hold under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
